As structural engineers, the biggest positive impact we can have on the climate is through reducing the carbon in the building we help create.
To do this effectively however, we need to work together with the wider industry, policy makers and academics which is why Tim and I attended the University of Bath’s Better Building Conference. The focus of the event was to share ideas as to how construction can do more against climate change and Integral are putting this front and centre by collaborating with academia to measure, benchmark and refine our design in order to honour our Engineers Declare pledges.
A variety of speakers and delegates attended to make the event a vibrant and hopeful atmosphere with some exciting initiatives and collaborations on the horizon. More information on the engineers declare pledges that Integral have committed to is available here.
