Joe Williams


MEng (Hons) PhD

Joe is an engineer working on a number of projects in the Bath office. A certified Passivhaus designer his particular interests are in sustainable building design and the use of natural building material. He is currently looking forward to broadening his experience and working towards professional accreditation.

Joe graduated with a first class honours degree in 2013 from the University of Bath where he received the Charlie Wymer prize for design flair. Following graduation he worked for a London based engineering consultancy before heading to France to run a ski chalet for the winter season. Upon returning Joe returned to the University of Bath to undertake a PhD on the natural building material hemp-lime. He submitted his thesis in September and joined Integral immediately after. He remains a visiting tutor at the University of Bath, providing advice and critiquing on third year design projects for the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering.

In his free time Joe can be found either climbing at the local cliffs or in the workshop producing his own skis for the next winter season!
