BSc (Hons) CEng FIStructE MICE

Tim founded the practice in 1999 and provides directorial design input on our projects. He heads up our growing London office and is responsible for health and safety.

Key to Tim’s approach is adding value for our clients and ensuring the smooth delivery of projects. He provides an integrated design solution and embraces, where relevant, new initiatives within the industry. His view is that engineers should specify materials wisely to reduce costs and lower embodied carbon. Tim brings many years of knowledge to the practice and has won numerous design awards. He is involved in teaching and research at the University of Bath and is a Senior Visiting Research Fellow in the BRE Centre for Innovative Construction Materials.

Tim has a wealth of experience in arts projects and enjoys the collaboration involved in considering the visual, acoustic and practicalities associated with these highly specialised projects. He was instrumental in Integral Engineering Design joining the Theatres Trust which champions the future of live performance, by protecting and supporting excellent theatre buildings to meet the needs of their communities.

An accomplished sailor, Tim has sailed across the Atlantic and spent over a year at sea. He is always looking for the next sailing adventure. On dry land he enjoys walking, badminton, skiing and a recreational (not extreme) run!
