Urgent works at the 1930s Grade II listed Broadway Theatre as part of a major upgrade and refurbishment will breathe new life into the venue, improve accessibility and the overall visitor experience. Integral provided structural engineering expert advice combining our conservation and theatre experience. Improvements to the outdated front of house facilities accompanied upgrades to the theatre staging systems. The modern stage systems and equipment accessibility will allow the theatre to increase the range of productions it is able to host.

All improvement works needed to be prioritised and considerate of the Grade II listed building status and communication across all disciplines and with the client has been hugely important on this project. We worked carefully with the architect and M&E engineers to assess the impact of their works on the existing listed structure and suggested cost saving alternatives to avoid expensive strengthening works to existing structures.
