Harcourt Hill Residences

Oxford Brookes University

A development for 318 study bedroom, including 50 studio apartments, below ground drainage and hard landscaping, under a design and build contract. It was our second project through our Oxford Brookes Framework agreement. There were existing residences already on this site, so the design had to ensure that services were maintained during the build and that disruption to residents was minimised. Reducing the dig on the sloping site was key to ensuring a cost effective build whilst also ensuring that the requirement of appropriate access for all was met. Traditional load bearing masonry with precast planks were chosen for these relatively low rise buildings with modular bathrooms pre-fabricated off site.

“Integral were proactive and flexible in their approach and were sympathetic of the requirements of both the architect and users.”

Mark Stevens, GSS Architecture Partner
