Linden Farm Autism Supported Living

The project is to provide long term supported living accommodation for around ten adults with autism and high support needs. This aligns with Surrey Council’s strategy to support individuals with disabilities to maximise their independence, to be part of local community and to live near their families. The siting of the buildings was carefully considered to reduce the impact on the existing landscaping, Ancient Woodland and existing services. From the outset the concept has been to see the buildings as a collection of residential settings, each with their own character, identity and internal layout to meet the needs of the autistic residents, and give flexibility for future adaptation to new residents. The design includes a mixture of masonry construction, timber/glulam trusses and cross laminated timber (CLT).
