The health and wellbeing of the pupils is a priority for Cheltenham Ladies’ College. The existing indoor sports facilities had insufficient capacity to meet current and projected future requirements for pupils to participate in competitive, recreational or curriculum sports activities. A further pressure on space came when exams needed to be accommodated, as this frequently displaced sporting activities for periods throughout the year. The design of the new centre supports flexible use, for sporting activities covering all abilities and for educational uses. Our foundation and drainage strategy made some significant cost savings.
